Rasulan in Gunung Kidul
Rasulan is a traditional form of post-harvest celebration held by the Javanese people in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. This tradition is usually held by the community as a form of gratitude for the abundant harvest of crops at the same time to merti or clean the village to hope for safety and reject harm to all villagers. This tradition can be found in almost all villages in Gunungkidul and even some villages also hold it at the dukuh level. The timing of the implementation is not always the same between regions because Rasulan is held with the agreement of the villagers after receiving a recommendation for the implementation time from the local customary elders, usually after the main harvest or before the dry season.
